Expanding Donor Base for Non-Profit Serving Women
in Crisis

SUMMARY & CHALLENGE 

A non-profit client, serving women in crisis, wanted to increase its effectiveness by grow-ing its pool of donors in Q4 of 2021. Together we formulated a plan that would bring in new donors at the close of the year. 

SOLUTION 

By leveraging data resources, Ring Digital identified donors who had given to politically similar organizations in the same state, as well as a broader list of donors who had given to other ideologically similar organizations. By serving household-targeted digital display ads and pre-roll video, 13,115 households were reached over 4 months, with no other media going to this list—no texts, email, direct mail, or volunteer callers.

RESULTS

A total of $5,505 was spent running ads, which generated 45 new donor relationships. These 45 donors gave $13,838.39 in the final 4 months of the year! An impressive return-on-ad-spend of 251.38%, yielded an average donation of $307.52 by using just display and video ads.
